ATOR estimated SSJ-100 share in tourist charters — Rambler News Service

Photo: globallookpress.com the Share of the SSJ-100 planes in the Russian charter flights makes about 3%, the executive director of Association of tour operators of Russia (ATOR) Maya Lomidze said. "Yes, comes across and, meets, but in very limited volume. From total number of all types of planes or all flights which fly on charters, it, probably, maybe, 3%", – Lomidze told. According to her, tour operators and travel agents cannot influence the choice of planes. "We were written by passengers before a departure, people learn that they fly by this plane, and would like to change it. Would like to emphasize that the tour operator or travel agent where a tour is acquired, cannot influence the choice of the plane, that is this decision to the discretion of airline — proceeding from a condition of the technical park, the flight program and so on. It is a question of competence of carrier. There is only one option – to change the ticket, as a rule, with a penalty", – the executive director of ATOR noted. On May 5 the SSJ-100 plane performing flight of SU-1492 Moscow-Murmansk made emergency landing at Sheremetyevo Airport and lit up. As reported to ICR, onboard the aircraft there were 78 people among whom there are three minors and 5 crew members. Ministry of Transport said that from the accident site at Sheremetyevo Airport bodies of 41 dead are taken.
