Works on asphalting of a roadbed have begun at all seven stages of construction of the highway "Taurida" in the Crimea, has reported the State Committee of road economy of the republic. "The general contractor has started laying of asphalt concrete at the sixth stage of the route "Taurida" near Bakhchisarai. Thus, road builders conduct works on asphalting at all seven stages of the highway. All works are conducted according to the schedule" — it is said in the statement. Now construction is conducted at the same time at all stages and is divided into two turns. In two-way execution from Kerch to Simferopol the movement along the highway is planned to start in December of this year. The movement along all route in four-band execution to Sevastopol will open in December, 2020. Readiness of the first stage of Taurida makes 70%, all route – 38%. The way will be paved bypassing Feodosiya, Belogorsk, Simferopol and Bakhchisarai. The project is estimated at the sum more than 149 billion rubles. Capacity of the route will be up to 40 thousand cars a day.
