In RSA have explained an initiative of reduction of circulation periods behind payment for the CMTPL — Rambler News Service

The Russian Association of Motor Insurers considers that reduction of circulation periods behind payment for the CMTPL up to five days won't negatively affect motorists, but will help with fight against fraud from autolawyers, the executive director of RSA Evgeny Ufimtsev has told RNS. Earlier the Vedomosti newspaper has reported that the relevant initiative is developed by insurance companies and is sent to the Ministry of Finance. It is about the draft of the amendments to the law on the CMTPL prepared by RSA. Suggest to enter the five-day term during which it is necessary to report to the company about an insured event according to the CMTPL, i.e. about incident into RSA. "Now in voluntary types of insurance, first of all the autocomprehensive insurance, very much has accurately adjusted process of filing of application from the insurer at a loss occurrence. As a rule, in the majority of contracts within 3-5 days the insurer has to address to the insurance company. According to the CMTPL of norm during what period of time the victim has to address for compensation, no. Because of it there are difficulties now at settlement of losses" — Ufimtsev has noted. Ufimtsev considers that five-day term will limit opportunities for fraud, in particular, from autolawyers. "Any person is interested in as soon as possible to repair the car, but not to put it in a settler and to wait for year until the insurer is something to settle with others. And then to pull out this car and to say: "Reputable insurer, I once have repaired it, you pay me, please, insurance compensation". The victim always has to address to insurance companies if only any circumstances haven't prevented to make it. But, unfortunately, those unfair intermediaries who redeem from them the right of the requirement here they begin to delay time, it is untimely to give, bring the insurer on terms that the insurer has paid him a penalty in the form of a penalty" — he has noted. Ufimtsev has added that won't affect in any way the victim and the person who will settle a change loss. "But for autolawyers and intermediaries – yes, they will need to work under the law and not to abuse the right which now under the law is made for victims" — the executive director of RSA has told. Ufimtsev has added that it is only one of the amendments proposed by RSA which have been sent to the Ministry of Finance.
