Moscow plans to update completely the park of trams by 2024

"The capital will continue to buy the electric transport – by 2024 we plan for 100% to update the rolling stock of the Moscow tram" — it is said in the statement of Mosgortrans. Now more than 200 low-floor Vityaz-M trams come to routes in the northeast, the East, the southeast, the South and in the center of Moscow. In 2019 the number of such trams in the capital will reach 300. Trams of new generation have the low level of a floor and are adapted for journey of handicapped passengers. Total capacity of one car – more than 200 people. Three-section Vityaz-M trams for the first time has come to city routes in March, 2017. Mosgortrans serves about 800 routes at which 6,5 thousand buses, trams, trolleybuses and electrobuss work every day.
