"For the fact that the edition found money by means of people it is possible to congratulate the edition. Means, the edition really has the readers, the devoted audience which is ready to vote the ruble that the edition existed further" — Peskov said. His editor-in-chief Evgenia Albats reported that the Russian magazine raised funds for payment of a penalty on Tuesday, November 13. At the end of October the court decided to collect a penalty of 22.25 million rubles from the magazine and also 30 thousand rubles personally with Albats as from his editor-in-chief. The magazine was recognized violated Article 13.15.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences — "failure to provide or untimely granting mass media by the editorial office, the speaker or publisher of information on receiving money which is provided by the legislation of the Russian Federation on mass media". Later the magazine and Albats appealed against the judgment.
