Poland is ready to deliver to Ukraine 2 billion cubic meters of gas a year, the plenipotentiary of the government of Poland concerning power infrastructure Pyotr Naimsky said. "We are ready to start in case of need the gas pipeline which will connect the Polish system to Ukrainian in Germanovichakh. Its power is 2 billion cubic meters. It seems that it is a little, but when Ukrainians are needs the urgent help, we are ready to make it" — the Polish edition Biznes Alert cites Naimsky's words. He also noted that Poland plans to expand the connecting gas pipeline on border with Ukraine then supply of gas can be in addition increased. According to Naimsky, it will be possible not earlier than 2022. "We would like to expand the interkonnektor connecting Poland to Ukraine. From the Polish side everything is ready because it is an element of development of a national system. From the Ukrainian side there is no decision... We wait for it, and, perhaps, the new authorities in Ukraine will seek to accelerate process. We will prepare it in 2022.... Then we will be able to deliver more than 2 billion cubic meters which we can deliver right now" — he noted. As it was reported earlier, in 2018 Ukraine reduced import of gas on a reverse from the EU by 24.8% in comparison with an indicator of 2017 — to 10.6 billion cubic meters. Import on a reverse of Slovakia made 6.5 billion cubic meters (decrease by 34.3%), of Hungary — 3.4 billion cubic meters (growth by 21.4%), of Poland — 700 million cubic meters (decrease by 46.2%).
