Power of the pipeline system of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) can be increased from 67 to 72 million tons of oil a year due to use of special additive, the head of Transneft, one of shareholders of KTK, Nikolay Tokarev has reported. "In November the finishing end will be solemnly put to the project of the KTK expansion to 67 million tons. And if to use special additive, then it will be up to 72 million tons. Production in Kazakhstan grows. And today there is already a conversation that again it is necessary to expand bottlenecks which KTK have" — he has said in an interview to the Ekspert magazine. Tokarev has added that he will receive several hundreds of millions of dollars of dividends from participation in KTK Russia annually. "Literally through a year and a half and Transneft, and the Russian Federation will begin to receive full-fledged dividends when calculation for loan ends. It not only that experience, it also very good income" — the head of Transneft has told. As it was reported earlier, in April the Caspian Pipeline Consortium has put into operation the last oil pumping station within the project of expansion of capacities of the pipeline system KTK – NPS-2 in Kalmykia. The project of expansion of the pipeline system KTK provides increase in capacities up to 67 million tons. KTK — the pipeline system connecting Kazakhstan with seaport in the district of Novorossiysk in which oil is loaded on tankers for the subsequent sending for the world markets. Shareholders of KTK are the Russian Federation — 31% (it is presented by Transneft — 24% and KTK company — 7%), Kazakhstan — 20,75% (it is presented by KazMunaiGas — 19% and Kazakhstan Pipeline Ventures LLC — 1,75%), Chevron Caspian Pipeline Consortium Company — 15%, LUKARCO B. V. — 12,5%, Mobil Caspian Pipeline Company — 7,5%, Rosneft-Shell Caspian Ventures Limited — 7,5%, BG Overseas Holding Limited — 2%, Eni International N. A. N. V. — 2% and Oryx Caspian Pipeline LLC — 1,75%.
