The OPEC has raised the medium-term forecast of demand for oil to 104,5 million barrels a day — Rambler News Service


The OPEC predicts increase in demand for oil for the medium term, by 2023, to the level of 104,5 million barrels a day, follows from the annual review of the World Oil Outlook 2018 organization. In comparison with 2017 demand for oil in 2023 will grow by 7,3 million barrels a day (the annual gain will average 1,2 million barrels a day), the OPEC notes. By 2022 the OPEC predicts increase in demand for oil to the level of 103,7 million barrels a day. In the previous annual review of OPEC I predicted increase in demand for oil by 2022 to 102,3 million barrels a day. Thus, the forecast is raised on 1,4 million barrels a day, or approximately for 1,4%. As it is explained in the review, this updating of the forecast is explained, in particular, by structural changes in economic activity of consuming countries of oil.
