At 10:00 Moscow time the ruble has fallen in price to dollar by 1 kopek in relation to the price of closing of the auction – up to 67,375 rub for $1. To euro the Russian currency has also fallen in price by 1 kopek – to 77,9575 for €1. On August 9 dollar exchange rate has exceeded 66 rubles, and euro exchange rate – 77 rubles for the first time since November, 2016. Announcement by the American State Department of the next package of sanctions against Russia became the reason for that. The day before, on August 21, the ruble has risen to US dollar and has fallen in price in relation to the European currency.
