Deputies from United Russia Victor Pinsky and Daniil Bessarabov introduced the bill increasing penalties for refusal to store personal data of Russians in the territory of the country, is reported in the document published on the automated system of ensuring legislative activity. "Repeated commission of the administrative offense provided by Part 8 of the present article - attracts imposing of an administrative penalty on citizens at the rate from 50 thousand to 100 thousand rubles; on officials - from 500 thousand to 1 million rubles; on legal entities - from 6 million to 18 million rubles" — it is said in the text of the published document. As they say in the explanatory note, the current legislation of separate responsibility for non-execution of requirements for localization of databases did not provide. "As a result of corporation (Facebook and Twitter – RNS comment) were fined 3 thousand rubles according to Article 19.7 of the Administrative Code for non-presentation of information" — it is reported in the explanatory note. On April 5 the magistrate on Tagansky district Anton Kozyrev decided to fine the Twitter company 3 thousand rubles for failure to provide to Roskomnadzor of data on storage of the user data, the correspondent of RNS from the courtroom told. Then, on April 12th Facebook was fined the same sum. The meeting took place without representative of Facebook, it was not in court, and the judge decided to consider case without it. On April 24 the Twitter corporation sent the appeal to Tagansky Court of Moscow on the decision of magistrate's court on a fine of 3 thousand rubles, on May 8 Tagansky district court upheld the resolution of the magistrate on a penalty, having rejected the complaint of the American company, the representative of court following the results of a meeting reported to RNS. Roskomnadzor began administrative production concerning Facebook and Twitter, reported in the press service of the regulator, specifying that Facebook and Twitter submitted the answer to the requirement of the regulator to confirm localization of these Russians in the territory of the country, however they "do not contain a reality neither about the actual performance of the legislation at the moment, nor about dates of performance of these norms in the future".
