The Swedish ambassador stated impossibility to stop "Nord Stream-2" — Rambler News Service

"Those decisions which were necessary for "Nord Stream-2" Sweden has given out. As it doesn't concern territorial waters, opportunities to stop the project isn't present" — Eriksson has told. He recognized that all Swedish political parties have declared the critical relation to implementation of this project, however has added that the authorities of Sweden there isn't nothing can make against him any more. According to the ambassador, permission of the Swedish authorities to construction of the gas pipeline can't be withdrawn. "On international law we could only condemn how the project can affect the environment. But to demand do it we can't but. The company managed to show to the Swedish authorities that there are no ecological damages owing to the project" — Eriksson has told. Earlier journalists of Sverige Radio radio station have conducted survey and have come to a conclusion that representatives of all Swedish parliamentary parties oppose construction of the Nord Stream — 2 gas pipeline which has to pass on a bottom of the Baltic Sea. The member of the Federation Council Alexey Pushkov has noted that revival of the anti-Russian rhetoric in Sweden is connected with the future elections plus efforts of the USA on mobilization of a part of EU countries against the project. "Nord Stream-2" — the gas pipeline from Russia to Germany through the Baltic Sea 1220 km long and 55 billion cubic meters in a year. Laying of pipes for "Nord Stream — 2" in the Baltic Sea has begun in July, 2018. It is expected that construction of the gas pipeline will come to the end at the end of 2019.
