UAZ has lowered the forecast for export because of the beginning of release of cars in Kazakhstan — Rambler News Service

The Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ, is included into the Sollers group) plans to export following the results of 2018 about 6 - 6,5 thousand cars in comparison with 5,1 thousand pieces in 2017. Sales in the Russian market can grow to 5% at growth of all car market by 7-8%. "We will leave in "easy plus" (sales of new cars in Russia in 2018 – RNS comment), up to 5%. I think that growth (Russian) market (new cars) will be 7-8%, that is we will be slightly worse than the market" — the co-owner of group Vadim Shvetsov on fields of East economic forum has told journalists. He has specified that a situation with export heavy, and the company will hardly reach earlier predicted level of 8 thousand cars for export. Shvetsov has explained that "at us with export now everything is heavy for the reason that our Kazakhstan has changed the scheme, we have passed to vehicle sets, an it for us there was rather large market". "Therefore all from statistics will clean up – vehicle sets. Therefore we on export will have a sag. (Export of UAZ in 2018) 6-6,5 thousand will make", - the co-owner of the Sollers group has told. Earlier it was reported that UAZ has increased deliveries to the foreign markets in 2017 in comparison with 2016 by 47%, up to 5,1 thousand cars, and in August, 2018 there has begun assembly of cars UAZ at the plant of the Asia Car company in Kazakhstan – the main export market. Production until the end of the year can make UAZ in Kazakhstan to 2 thousand cars, and in 2019 – up to 3 thousand pieces. Sollers also expects to start the second assembly production in Kazakhstan with cooperation with other partner until the end of 2018. Earlier it was reported that sales of new cars UAZ in Russia in 2017 in comparison with 2016 have dropped by 15% — up to 41,6 thousand pieces.
