VCIOM: 52% of Russians don't see threat in use of the user data by the third parties — Rambler News Service

"In society the opinion dominates that information on users is used by the third parties (55%), at the same time only 18% of users of social networks are highly sure of it … At the same time every second (52%) considers that use of personal data by the third parties doesn't pose any threat" — it is reported in release to a research. Also 60% of users of social networks are negative to the fact that operators of social networks also use personal data and transfer them to other companies. Together with it (77%) respondents are considered that an opportunity to resolve or forbid access to the third parties to this or that personal information is a formal measure which can't secure personal data completely. The head of design office on implementation of the Digital Economy program of the Russian Government Analytical Centre Vladimir Mesropyan, commenting on results of a research, I have said that the answer to a question who has to possess the data spread by users in social networks – the most social network or to all who can get and process them needs to be given at adoption of the relevant bill of personal data within the Digital Economy program. "In view of the fact that interviewed state rather high level of uneasiness of rather possible use of personal data it is extremely important to direct a public and expert discussion to discussion of the necessary norms and institutes of regulation of this sphere guaranteeing protection of the rights of citizens today" — the head of practice of information policy and communication technologies has added VCIOM Kirill Rodin.
