VCIOM: 73% of Russians support the idea of the ban of smartphones at lessons at school — Rambler News Service


Most of Russians (73%) supports the idea about the ban of use of smartphones during the occupations at schools, data of poll "VCIOM Satellite" demonstrate. On a question "The idea to forbid school students to use mobile phones, smartphones and other not educational electronic devices in school classes is discussed. What do you think of this idea?" 47% have answered that they completely support this idea, another 26% have told that they support it rather. 69% of respondents consider that such restrictions have to extend to school students of all age. "Most of Russians (83%) consider that personal phones and smartphones prevent school students to study" — the VCIOM reports. Thus is more often than the others (90%) parents whose children have no smartphone speak about it. Among parents of children of school age this share makes 80%. Initiative All-Russian survey "VCIOM Satellite" is conducted on September 7, 2018. Citizens of Russia aged from 18 years have participated in poll. Russians aged from 18 years take part. Poll method – a telephone interview on the stratified bibasic casual selection of stationary and mobile numbers of 1,6 thousand respondents. For this selection the maximum size of a mistake with probability of 95% doesn't exceed 2,5%. Earlier the minister of education Olga Vasilyeva during the All-Russian PTA meeting has said that the ministry will support schools which will forbid pupils to use gadgets in school hours.
