"Yandex" will carry out tests of self-driving cars in Tatarstan — Rambler News Service

The first test zone will be open for movement of the car in Innopolis near Kazan. "Yandex and the government of Tatarstan have signed the agreement on development in the republic of pilotless transport. It provides creation in Innopolis of a test zone for movement of the car" — it is said in the statement. The company specifies that the test zone represents five points of landing and disembarkation of passengers – near the university, stadium, the medical center, residential quarter of Zion and administrative business center of Popov. All adults who have agreed to participation in testing will be able to use the self-driving car. In the car there will be an engineer-tester of "Yandex", is specified in the message. He will control work of systems of the car and to watch that the trip took place in the normal mode. The self-driving car of "Yandex" will work in Innopolis daily.
